Helping Kids with Big Emotions: A Parent/Caregiver Support Group

This support group will meet virtually via Zoom on Wednesdays from 6-7:00 p.m. EST.
4 sessions for $145 total - April 13, 20, 27 and May 4

This virtual support group is for parents and caregivers of youth (all ages) with difficulty regulating mood and behaviors and/or related relationship challenges. Parents and caregivers will be taught various Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills for distress tolerance, mindfulness, emotion regulation and effective communication.

Parents and caregivers will also have a safe space to process challenges and celebrate successes.

Facilitated by Michelle Altman, LCSW, who for more than five years, has specialized in pediatric mental health, working with families to address concerns such as anxiety, stress management, depression, and emotion dysregulation. She values meeting clients “where they are” and helping both children and caregivers navigate life’s challenges using the power of empathy and validation. Michelle has been comprehensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and holds a Certificate of Advanced Practice in Trauma-Informed Care. Michelle is also proud to be bilingual and provide therapy services in both English and Spanish.
