New Behavioral Health Unit Opens at Children's Institute

At The Children’s Institute has opened a new, state-of-the-art inpatient Behavioral Health Unit, serving children ages 4-17 with urgent behavioral health needs who also have pre-existing complex medical condition and/or developmental disability.

Led by child psychiatrist Dr. Aileen Oandasan and with an emphasis on caring for the whole patient, our behavioral health services combine traditional and holistic approaches to medicine to treat a wide range of behavioral health needs. We use these approaches in conjunction with one another to get the best possible outcomes for our patients.
