Cynthia Morelock

Cynthia Morelock leads the administrative, instructional and support staff at The Day School in delivering educational programs that allow every student to reach their highest level of self-sufficiency.

She represents The Day School in the Alliance of Pennsylvania Approved Private Schools, is a member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials and the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association, and has worked for more than 30 years in education and healthcare settings.

A former speech-language pathologist in acute, rehab, skilled nursing and home care settings, Morelock has a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders and Psychology, and a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She has completed a 24-credit K-12 Principal preparation and school leadership certificate at the University of Pittsburgh (LIFTS: Leadership Initiative for Transforming Schools).

Her credentials include: National certification in Speech-Language Pathology by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), Certification by the Pennsylvania Department of Education to provide services to speech and language impaired students K-12, Certification by the Pennsylvania Department of Education as a K-12 Principal.
