The Children's Instite joins ClinicalConnect
Friday, Nov 9, 2012
The Children's Institute has joined the ClinicalConnect Health Information Exchange. ClinicalConnect will allow clinicians to immediately access critical patient information, including medications, allergies and lab results that might affect clinical decisions.
The goal is to improve the quality of care for patients as they move among health care providers. ClinicalConnect was launched last year, and is expected to be one of Pennsylvania's largest health information exchanges, with more than 7 million unique patient records. Longer-term, the exchange is expected to be connected to federal and state data-sharing systems.
