"Bright Spot on Shady" Brightens Community

Pittsburgh’s East End shone brighter than usual on November 18, 2011 as The Children’s Institute hosted the first annual “Bright Spot on Shady” community event.
The family-friendly event, in honor of the organization’s founding in November 1902, drew more than 100 adults and kids, all bundled up to enjoy the launch of the holiday season in the new Nimick Family Therapeutic Garden.
