The Nimick Family Therapeutic Garden continues to garner attention

Wednesday, Jul 6, 2011

The Nimick Family Therapeutic Garden remains in the media well after the dedication on June 18.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s story on Thursday, June 23 eloquently captured the sentiment of the Nimick Family, quoting Charles L.H. Nimick: “We were looking for a way to commemorate our parents. The garden is breathtaking. The care, effort and love that went into it is evident." The article goes on to describe many of the garden features and additional giving opportunities.

Photos from the dedication event were featured in both the Pittsburgh Tribune Review’s Fanfare column last week and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Seen column on July 5.

Helene Conway-Long, Vice President of Institutional Advancement, visited the WSSH 99.7 studios on Monday, June 27 to tell the listeners about the garden during the “Dish on Wish” with Whirl Magazine. The host was so excited to get involved that they’re even promoting our Name the Frogs contest on the Whirl Magazine Facebook page!
