Women for a Healthy Enviroment, hosted by The Children's Institute, invites you to learn how to keep your skin safe this summer.

Join us for Summer Sun: Simple Steps to Safer Skin. 

In 2009, the Environmental Working Group (EWG) released a study in which they evaluated more than 2,000 sunscreen products. This study, as well as EWG’s Sunscreen Database, will be discussed. Panelists for the evening include Suzan Obagi, M.D. and David Andrews, Ph.D.

Participants will learn

  • how to protect their skin from sun damage
  • the difference between sunscreen and sun block
  • tips for skin cancer prevention 
  • the risks of UV radiation and tanning
