The Business Development Director has the responsibility to develop and direct a set of business development initiatives, strategic partnerships, and alliances that enhance the value of The Children’s Institute through revenue growth, improved market position, and greater synergies with key strategic partners.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Vice President of Institutional Advancement (VPIA)
WORKERS SUPERVISED: Business Development Analyst. Works closely with senior management team.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required with advanced degree in Marketing, Health Administration or Business Administration preferred.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: At least 8 years of healthcare, strategic planning or business development experience, with at least 3 to 5 years of management experience and a proven track record in developing program/service lines. Requires excellent analytical and financial skills— including analytical dexterity, a mathematical disposition and business acumen. Personal attributes important to this position consist of strong leadership, self-motivation, outstanding ability to sell, developed writing and presentation skills, and the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance of others.
