JOB SUMMARY:

Must be available 8am - 5pm weekdays;  Must be available to work in two or more locations, including inpatient and 4 outpatient sites. 

The occupational therapist assists the patient in reaching his or her maximal functional potential through evaluation, provision of treatment programs and family/staff training. The occupational therapist provides services to infants, children, adolescents and young adults following the guidelines of the departmental scope of services.

JOB RELATIONSHIPS:

RESPONSIBLE TO: Supervisor or Coordinator of Occupational Therapy

WORKERS SUPERVISED: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, therapy aides, PHEAA students and Volunteers

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:   BS, MS, or MOT from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:  Must be registered or eligible for registration by the AOTA and licensed or eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania.  Successful completion of a pediatric affiliation or previous experience with a pediatric population is preferred.
