JOB SUMMARY:
The Licensed Practical Nurse assumes the responsibility for patients on the inpatient unit to which he/she is assigned. Implements the therapeutic approaches required in care of physically, cognitively, emotionally, socially, behaviorally disabled pediatric, adolescent, and/or adult patients. Performs all tasks necessary for the efficient and effective rehabilitation program and developmental learning milieu.
JOB RELATIONSHIPS:
RESPONSIBLE TO: Charge Nurse, Director of Patient Care Services
WORKERS SUPERVISED: None
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Current licensure as a licensed practical nurse is required with the following exception: A graduate practical nurse is required to have a temporary practice permit issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. Upon expiration of this permit, must show evidence of a current Pennsylvania license as a practical nurse.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Related clinical experience is preferred.
