Pre-service training, or family certification classes, is held three times per year at both of our Project STAR locations. Families who attend Information Meetings are automatically invited to training. These classes cover a set curriculum of topics required of all SWAN affiliate agencies, such as grief and loss, abuse and neglect, child development, attachment and resources for parenting success.
Project STAR’s required pre-service training for all persons seeking to become foster parents or adopt children from foster care. An orientation session is required prior to attending these classes. Please RSVP to 412.244.3048.
