Rachna Kapoor, MD. MS has recently joined the medical staff of The Children’s Institute in Squirrel Hill as a pediatric hospitalist, a physician whose specialty is caring for children who are inpatients.
Dr. Kapoor comes to The Children’s Institute from UPMC Mercy Hospital. She graduated from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York and did postgraduate residency in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. “When I initially visited The Children’s Institute, I was very impressed with the services, but it wasn’t until I began working here that I fully became aware of everything that this place has to offer our young patients,” says Dr. Kapoor. “It’s so rewarding watching their progress as they go through our programs.”
A member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Kapoor was a contributing author to the infectious disease section of the second edition of In A Page Pediatrics.
