Moving Time

The Children’s Institute is embarking upon an exciting move. The Monroeville satellite office will soon be relocating to Irwin, Westmoreland County. The new location is in the Norwin Hills Shopping Center and the move will take place on April 25th. All services will resume at the Irwin location on Monday, April 28th. This will be The Children’s Institute’s first venture into Westmoreland County.

About a year ago, The Children’s Institute learned that the lease for the Monroeville office would expire without an option to renew. The organization looked at this as an opportunity to better address the needs of the community and patients in the area. Market analysis revealed that nearby census growth was in the Norwin area. “As it turns out, the patient population we’re currently serving in Monroeville is really heavily based in the Norwin area,” notes Stacey Vaccaro, director of Ancillary Operations.

Once the decision was made to move into Westmoreland County, the real estate search began. Though real estate options were limited, The Children’s Institute team was thrilled to find a location that would suit the organization’s needs. “We found that the shopping center location really provides the best access for our patients,” says Stacey.

The new location is attractive, safe and easily accessible, all key factors in the selection process. Stacey explains that the top priority, however, is providing care for returning and new patients. “It’s important for us to maintain a commitment to the community by maintaining a satellite in this area.”

The address for the new location is 8775 Norwin Avenue, Unit #4, Irwin, Pennsylvania 15642.
