Offering Family-Centered Services $550,000
For many families of children in our 
care, The Children's Institute becomes their "temporary home." From spending weeks in the inpatient program of The Hospital, to birthparents having a supervised visit with their child at Project STAR, the look, comforts and necessities of home are often missing when a child and family members receive their services. To bring more of a hom atmosphere to oru facilities, and help make it easier for parents and caregivers to meet their daily and family obligations and goals, several initiatives have been identified, including:
- Project STAR Family Visitation Center.....$400,000
- Family/Business Center.............................$100,000
- Department of Family Faculty....................$50,000
