Vice President of Institutional Advancement
As chief advancement officer since 2006, Helene is responsible for developing and nourishing financial, political and public support for The Children's Institute through strategic development, community relations, governmental relations, marketing/communications and strategic planning efforts.
Prior to joining The Children’s Institute, Helene served as Associate Vice President, Corporate and Foundation Giving/Sponsorships with Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh. She also has held senior management appointments with Tommy Hilfiger, USA, where she was Vice President of Retail Marketing and Communications.
Helene is an Honors College graduate of The University of Iowa and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Seton Hill University. She serves on the Boards of LEAD Pittsburgh and the Association of Fundraising Professionals-Western Pennsylvania Chapter as Vice President of Communications and Co-Chair of the National Philanthropy Day 2012 celebration in Pittsburgh. Helene is also a member of Public Relations Society of America. Helene speaks nationally and regionally on nonprofit branding.
