Amy Haid
Director of Community Resources and Training
Ms. Haid provides staff and student training including new staff orientation, interdepartmental training and ongoing training such as Functional Independence Measure for Children (Wee FIM), CPR, and cultural diversity and sensitivity. In addition, her responsibilities include overseeing the volunteers and college work/study students, supervising the Recreation Therapy department, Child Life program, chaplaincy, Camp Success and Heasley House. Community Resources and Training also handles the intake and distribution of all non-monetary donations.
Before becoming the director in January 2005, Ms. Haid had been the assistant director for nearly 8 years and prior to that she was a teacher’s aide and a work/study student in The Day School.
Ms. Haid earned a Bachelors degree in English Literature from the University of Pittsburgh.
