Beaver County Father's Heart Award Nominations

Project STAR and the Fatherhood Initiative of Beaver County are planning the first annual Father’s Heart Award Luncheon to be held on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the Community College of Beaver County. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness about the importance of fathers and father figures in children’s lives. One of the highlights of the luncheon is the presentation of The Father’s Heart Award to seven men from Beaver County who demonstrate a strong commitment to their family, children and the local community. Project STAR is sponsoring the award, honoring foster fathers.

“A father who shows that he cares, both in his words and his actions, can provide a life-long sense of security and stability in the life of his biological child, his step-child, his grandchild, his adopted child, his foster child or a neighborhood child,” says Rob Henry, Project STAR Family Recruiter. “These awards are small tokens of appreciation for the heartfelt work these fathers do to better the lives of children in Beaver County.”

Nominations are being accepted for the 2013 Father’s Heart Award. If you would like to nominate an outstanding father or father figure, please complete the Father's Heart Award Nomination Form. The deadline for submission is Friday, April 15, 2013.
