Anathan House
Foyle View Project
Pennies for Peace
Ten Thousand Villages
Anathan HouseOnce a month during the school year, two classrooms of students and staff travel up the street to the National Council of Jewish Women's Anathan House to visit the Anathan Club members. Each visit typically consists of ten to 15 seniors and six to eight students who spend the time talking and playing games and activities. This is not only a great way to educate the students in social skills and communication, but it also is a great way to give back to the community by voluteering their time at the senior center.
Foyle View Project
A collaboration between The Day School at The Children's Institute of Pittsburgh and the Foyle View School in Derry, Northern Ireland, the Foyle View Project is an opportunity for the students of both schools to connect and learn about the world around them.
