At 13 years old, Keith Cattledge’s life changed forever. While attending a party at his friend’s house without permission, an adult came home. Keith dove out of a window, but caught his foot on the frame. The fall resulted in a broken neck, leading to cervical spinal cord injuries that left him largely paralyzed. After a four month stay at The Hospital at The Children’s Institute, Keith returned to his old school in a power wheelchair to finish his seventh grade year.
In the spring of 2010, Keith graduated at the top of his class from The Central Career and Technical School in Erie, Pennsylvania. He credits his success to the change of heart he experienced after the accident.
