Job Summary

The Children’s Institute has an exciting opportunity for an innovative leader in Western PA to create new programming for individuals with autism. The successful leader will develop and grow the program through “big picture thinking” by creating new service delivery models. The experienced team oriented leader will cultivate their team members and work collaboratively with other key CI team members. Our new Director of Autism Services will serve as the primary program representative of autism services across the organization and with all stakeholders including payers, families and the individuals we serve.

Education: Master’s Degree in ABA / Special Education/ Clinical Practices or other related field required.

Licensure: N/A

Certification: Board Certified Behavior Analyst required

Clearances: Act 73 FBI*Act 34 Criminal Clearance*Act 33 Child Clearance

Training and Experience: • Experience with ABA services in a behavioral health / MCO environment
• Minimum of three years experience directly working with individuals with autism and their family
• Demonstrated abilities in program development
• Proven organizational and leadership skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

• Key Characteristics: Professional, organized, creative, motivating and goal driven
• Ability and means to travel to external appointments on a flexible schedule as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain CI brand quality program models.
• Define operating protocols for all new services and maintain protocols for existing services.
• Ensure fidelity compliance to set expectations.
• Build a continuum of care for individuals with autism and their families that align with the strategic plan and community preferences.
• Develop business opportunities with new geographies, payers and service delivery models
• Determine practices that align with fiduciary parameters.
• Function as lead SME (subject matter expert) to create fluidity of practices and establish continuity of care to individuals with autism throughout all CI services.
• Create opportunities for collaboration with other services within the CI team.
• Model, supervise and mentor a positive culture of an integrated / comprehensive CI team approach to supporting the whole individual.
• Responsible for the vetting and setup of new programs. This includes establishing a budget, coordinating billing activities with the finance department, hiring and onboarding new team members,
• Provide initial service supervision (billable hours) during ramp up of programming
