Where to Stay
The Heasley House
The Marie Reinhardt Heasley House accommodates families of inpatients at The Hospital at The Children’s Institute. Heasley House, which provides a special "home away from home" for families, is an eight bedroom, wheelchair-accessible home located on our Squirrel Hill campus. There is one full bathroom on each floor for guests to share and one telephone on the first floor for local calls. Rooms are provided on a first come first serve basis and reservations must be made in advance.
Thanks to the generosity and support of the Snee-Reinhardt Charitable Foundation and the Pittsburgh community, Heasley House provides a comfortable haven to help our guests through stressful times.
The room fee is $5 per night per person. We ask if you are staying more than a week, to check in with the Information Center every Friday to pay and let us know how things are going.
Smoking, alcoholic beverages, and the use of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited on the property of The Children’s Institute, which includes the Heasley House. For medical and safety reasons, inpatients are not permitted in the Heasley House at any time.
