Inpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation Hospital
The Pediatric Rehabilitation Hospital at The Children’s Institute, located in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh, is unlike any medical facility you have encountered. Here, every child is recognized for his or her potential and treated with love and respect. And every family member is given the support and understanding they need to help their child flourish.
Our approach to pediatric rehabilitation focuses on the path ahead
Children and young adults come to us for a variety of reasons and with a range of diagnoses. Yet they all share a common goal—progress. By seeing each child as an individual, by developing unique treatment programs, we consistently help our patients reach that goal.
Our teams are multidisciplinary, collaborative and child-centered All of our teams are physician-led, usually by a doctor whose specialty matches the child’s primary needs. The teams may also include pediatricians and physiatrists, therapists, nurses and others. Families are integral members of the team. We welcome their insights and participation, and we work with them, providing education, training and unlimited emotional support.
