Behavioral Health Services

For children and youth with special health care needs, behavioral health services can be critical to their progress and their ability to reach goals.

At The Children’s Institute, we strive to offer psychiatry, psychology and neuropsychology that are both excellent and designed to put kids at ease. We offer outpatient behavioral health services, and we have a new, state-of-the-art inpatient Behavioral Health Unit, serving children ages 4-17 wit h urgent behavioral health needs who also have pre-existing complex medical condition and/or developmental disability.

Led by child psychiatrist Dr. Aileen Oandasan and with an emphasis on caring for the whole patient, our behavioral health services combine traditional and holistic approaches to medicine to treat a wide range of behavioral health needs. We use these approaches in conjunction with one another to get the best possible outcomes for our patients.

The inpatient unit includes 16 inpatient beds, private and semi-private rooms, a multi-purpose activities room, a classroom, patient/family visitation areas, therapy rooms and a comfort room.

For more information about an inpatient admission, please call Sarah Fallica at 412-390-6836 or fill out the form below to receive a phone call. If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 or go to the closest emergency room.
